Online Bidding & Auction Viewing

All you need to know about our online-only auctions.


In light of the current pandemic and for the foreseeable future we will be conducting our auctions online only, which is why we are inviting you to join us from the comfort of your own home to experience the excitement of a Trevanion & Dean auction day.  You can browse our catalogue prior to bidding and plan your day around the lots you want to bid for.  We aim to deliver the best possible experience for both buyers and sellers whilst ensuring safety for all concerned.

The Saleroom:-


Our saleroom will be open to the public for viewing, strictly by appointment only.  This will ensure the safety of both our clients and staff whilst continuing to adhere to Government social distancing guidelines. Please contact us on 01948 800 202 to book your viewing appointment and to provide details of the lots you wish to inspect.  Appointments will be offered on a ‘first come – first served’ basis, in either 15 or 30 minute slots.  We cannot guarantee that you will be admitted to the building without an appointment, so to avoid disappointment please book in advance.  If you arrive at the saleroom without an appointment, you may have to wait outside until a slot becomes available.

As previously stated, this auction will be held online.  There will be no public admittance to the saleroom on auction day.  You can bid through T&D’s Live bidding platform on our website here, you can register/open account, and will also find our latest auction catalogue. We will be accepting telephone bids and commission bids on all lots in our auction. However, all phone line requests must be received by 5pm the day before the lot is due to be auctioned. Phone lines will be limited and offered on a ‘first come – first served’ basis. If you wish to pay by debit card please contact our accounts team who will be able to take your payment by telephone 01948 800202.  Until further notice we will not be accepting cash payments or payments at the saleroom.  All accounts must be settled prior to collection.


Please contact us to arrange collection of your purchased lots, we will operating a strict timetable for buyers collecting.  Purchases must be collected from the saleroom no later than seven days following the date of the auction.  Failure to collect in this timeframe may result in storage charges being applied. Purchases must be paid for by BACS or over the telephone prior to your arrival at our saleroom.

If you are collecting large items you will need to ensure you have help from a family member as our staff will be unable to assist you due to the current social distancing measures.  We will only release goods that have been paid for.

If you are unable to collect your winning lots Trevanion & Dean offer a limited in-house P&P service for small, non -breakable items during the week following the auction only. More details of this service and our recommended shippers for larger items are available to view here.
